YSOD (Yard Service on Demand) is a convenient and user-friendly application designed to connect homeowners with professional landscapers for their yard maintenance needs. Functioning similarly to TaskRabbit, YSOD allows users to hire experienced and reliable landscapers who can efficiently handle various tasks in their yards. From lawn mowing and hedge trimming to garden maintenance and tree care, YSOD provides a platform where homeowners can easily find and book skilled landscapers to transform their outdoor spaces. With YSOD, homeowners can enjoy a well-maintained and visually appealing yard without the hassle of finding and scheduling landscaping services independently.

My Duties

As the lead software engineer for YSOD, my primary responsibilities included overseeing the development process and architecture. I built the mobile application using React Native, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience. I leveraged AWS cloud resources, specifically RDS for the database, and implemented GraphQL for efficient and streamlined interactions with the database. Through these technologies and my expertise, I played a crucial role in delivering a robust and scalable application for YSOD.
